> No one had accepted musical instruments, especially in the "official" worship of the Pope which was thought to be in the presence of Christ. There was nothing in Catholic worship for the people which was remotely like singing four part harmony with an orchestra or even a pipe organ in the background.

Therefore, in Greek it means a new view opposed to the view held en toto or from the beginning of the organization. The musical worship sect broke away from the view held for 2,000 years against any Biblical evidence for "music" as a worship concept: God is not a sex object.

Notice that Haireô or heresy includes the word Anaireô which shows that the heretics may think that they have invented a NEW STYLE WORSHIP. 

The Greek word Psallo is a warfare and not worship word. Twanging bowstrings to send singing arrows into the enemy's heart was THE BASE meaning including to "grind the enemy into a fine powder." The two silver trumpets in the wilderness were to SING and make a LOUD NOISE to cause the enemy to panic.

Paul excluded "doubtful disputations" in Romans 14 which outlaws the discussion of human opinions when what Paul calls the synagogue gathers in Romans 15.

Paul's command for what he called gatherings or "synagogue" are absolute: both exclusive and inclusive.

HERESY or SECTARIANISM is defined as ADDING something not required for church as "school of the Word" in order to TAKE it over for  self and friends.

"Voluntary" (g2309) means determined, delightful, pleasurable. It is from:

The Greek word Heresy from Liddell and Scott: Haireô means "to take with the hand, grasp, hair. Another form means: take with the hand, grasp, seize as in the Komo or naked dance. Having taken up [the song].

The Thêria are are the beasts of the book of Revelation and is used with words related to ZOE or EVE or RHEA. thêrion, drakôn, ophis. Jubal "handled" musical instruments meaning "without authority" and to commit HERESY which meant to use music to steal the houses of others.

A word with similar definition of Anaireô connects RHETORIC and MUSIC. In pagan worship the rhetoricians, sOPHISts, singers and musicians performed the role of PARASITE which resulted when all of the animal sacrifice centers fell into disrepute.

The word HAEIRO has the same meaning as aeiro. Heresy is invading and making war to LIFT YOU UP with musical excitement. The method is to lade the burden Jesus died to remove: "spiritual anxiety created by religious ritual."

It is important that the rest has connections to STOPPING the arosal of anxiety through ANY ceremony which is peddled as having a spiritual effect over God or mankind!

The word REST which Jesus alone can give is the Greek PAUO. It is closely connected to "silencing the musicians" and "silencing the rhetorician" or preachers.

Pauô, includes to: bring to an end, stop or silence by death, take one's rest, cease, have done, of one singing or speaking.
Pauo means stop the polemos or battle, fight, war: stop levying war against another, anaireisthai or airô Pauo means: STOP the: melôid-ia , hê, singing, chanting
Pauo means: Stop the pain of: aoidê
Pauo means: Stop worshipping the MUSES

The music of harpists and musicians, flute players and trumpeters, will never be heard in you again. No workman of any trade will ever be found in you again. The sound of a millstone will never be heard in you again. Re 18:22

And STOP everything not related to the ekklesia or synagogue or school of the Bible built by Jesus Christ.

The Orthodox View of Paganism which informed Paul:

"Women and girls from the different ranks of society were proud to enter the service of the gods as singers and musicians. The understanding of this service was universal: these singers constituted the 'harem of the gods'." (End of Quasten)

The Christian Sect freed women from public performance to earn their bread by "leading men into the presence of the gods" with music.

The Orthodox Burden of Instrumental Music

Katauleô to play upon the flute, to resound with flute-playing, to overpower by flute-playing:--generally, to overpower, strike dumb [Don't get methuo with wine includes "don't get fluted down with wine.]

Katapsallô, play stringed instruments to, [sumposion] have music played to one, enjoy music, resound with music, The symposium was the musical festivalsof the PERVERTED. When they needed to discuss something they CAST OUT the flute girls and this automatically reduced the wine drinking.

Tumpanizo (g5178) toom-pan-id'-zo; from a der. of 5180 (mean, a drum, 'tympanum"); to stretch on an instrument of torture resembling a drum, and thus beat to death: - torture.

The instrument of torture defined in Hebrews 11:35

"Others were tortured, not accepting their release, so that they might obtain a better resurrection" brings to mind yet another scene during the Maccabean Revolt. The word "tortured" is tumpanizo, from which we get the term tympani or a kettledrum with a tightly drawn skin covering it. The victim would be stretched on a rack or wheel until their skin was as tight as a drum, and then beaten until every bone was out of joint and he eventually died.

"Not accepting their release" refers to the countless brethren that refused to renounce the Christian faith, accepting the punishment handed them.

In Afghanistan and other Islamic countries, those arrested for being Christians are sometimes given three days to recant their faith and return to Islam. Afterward many of them are hanged or beheaded or left to rot in a prison because they did not accept release that required them to deny their Lord.

But the reality of resurrection keeps them pressing on by faith. One of the seven brothers told Antiochus Epiphanes,

"You accursed wretch, you dismiss us from this present life, but the King of the universe will raise us up to an everlasting renewal of life, because we have died for his laws" [Second Maccabees 7:9].

The Orthodox Burden of the clergy:

Massa (h4853) mas-saw'; from 5375; a burden; spec. tribute, or (abstr.) porterage; fig. an utterance, chiefly a doom, espec. singing; mental, desire: - burden, carry away, prophecy, they set, song, tribute.

The load Jesus died to relieve:

Music works because it creates spiritual anxiety.

The Orthodox View of Judasim was that rather than display their utter sinfulness and lostness, they came to view sacrifices with music as earning their own righthteousness.

The Christian Sect is freed from guilt by the one-time sacrifice of Christ. This sacrifice was also made by the Jews as they mocked Him with music.

Without animal sacrifices. the Christian Sect has no need for blowing 120 trumpets while the flesh of Jesus is burning.

The Orthodox View of women in Judaism was that they were property. Women could not be taught the Word of God nor could they teach.

The Christian Sect treated everyone alike. Women are free to be taught or to teach but the need then and now was to be taught and not to teach. Women were restricted for that 1 hour a week and seemed to be totally free to teach the other 177 hours.

The "authority" Paul outlawed was authentia which means sexual authority: both erotic and murderous. No stand up (non sedentary or silent) woman can serve without exercising sexual authority: that is why people say "we USE women in our services."

The Orthodox view of paganism was that women could be "used" as charismatic or even sexual agents of the priestly class to pretend to get a message from the gods.

The Christian sect outlawed USING non-sedentary, uncovered women who had been enslaved to the authority Paul outlawed: Authentia or sexual or erotic authority.

This was based on Paul's grasp of Genesis which shows that Eve was totally seduced. The NACHASH was never a snake but a Chaldean musical enchanter as agent of the fallen Lucifer who brought his heavenly gift of music to earth to grasp worship for himself.

The Orthodox View of the Jewish Monarchy Contrary to the Covenant:

David sinned so completely that he could never again return to Gibeon to enquire of God because he believed that it, like the Garden of Eden, was guarded by warrior angels. God permitted David and future kings to establish an alternative (sect) at the Jebusite high place for the new kingdom which God granted purely to protect the flesh of a remnant and as a "like the nation's" temple state.

The orthodox view of David was still that no instrumental noise accompanied the alternative animal sacrifices at Zion. This was prescribed by David (king) and the commanders of the army for the future temple as capital of the secular state permitted but not approved by God.

The Christian Sect was and is freedom from the Law from the beginning to the end.

This "sect" defines Noah. That defines Moses. That defines Elijah. That defines John the Baptist. That defines Jesus. That defines Paul. That defines Martin Luther. That defines John Locke who defined your political and religious freedom FROM established religion. That defines Thomas Campbell. That defines Alexander Campbell. That defines me.

Reversing the Order from Synagogue Back To Musical Sect.

The Christian View Held en toto about music in any form.

The orthodox doctrine about instrumental music, even among Catholics, held from the beginning was that God ordained teaching the Word in congregational "singing" to reject the loud instrumental "noise" which was legal only in connection with the Sacrificial System, in Jerusalem and only performed by hereditary, blood-filled members of the tribe of Levi. Instrumentalists did not go into the holy place (church) or into the Most Holy Place (individual spirits). To have tried it would have gotten the musicians (noise makers) killed. Apparently the Levites tried it and Ezekiel attributes Israel's lostness to them.

Consequently, in the 1913 Catholic Encyclopedia, instrumentalists were not permitted in the Sistine Chapel where the Pope had his throne. This gave rise to A Cappella, which does not mean "without the instrument," but "after the Sistine Chapel." This involved an emasculated choir to provide the Pope the legalistic effect of the "organ" without violating the clear New Testament principle.

The a cappella concept speaks of young boys serving the older priests as in all priesthoods.

The Methodists, Baptists, Presbyterians, Puritans, Congregationalists and all of the protestant groups out of which the Restoration Movement "made the choice" to differ with were non-instrumental.

The universally held view en toto was that trying to worship a Spirit God with lifeless instruments (carnal weapons) was wrong because there simply was no more place for music in worship than there had been for sexual intercourse with temple prostitutes which went along with instrumental worship among the pagans and much of Jewish history.

Speaking (external) or preaching has always been the pattern with the singing and melody "in the heart and directed to God."

Sing praises to the LORD (singular), enthroned in Zion;
........... proclaim among the nations what he has done. Psalm 9:11

It comes as no surprise that those lusting for music are sitting around waiting for the Holy Spirit to guide us into a new "program" for 2002. David laid out the plan: sing praises to God by proclaiming to the nations. Don't you get it? No!

This is the "singing" pattern of Paul to the Romans, Ephesians and Colossians and in many other places where he does not use the word "sing."

The New Musical Sectarians Restored Body Worship

The word "music" is never an operative word in the spiritual worship of God in either the Old or New Testaments.

The Christian sectarians had to await men who needed "music" to swell the new buildings as late as AD 1878 to fly the flag that the Greek word "psallo" demanded that we use instruments. Yes, positively commands it. Because no credible scholarship would defend the new notion, psallo became the new mantra of the instrumental sect. Further study was precluded by defining anyone who objected to the new instrumental sect as themselves being sectarian. And, yes, legalistic for trying to defend the new "high church" change of direction by recourse to the Words of God. This is known from all eternity as The Guilt Clause.

I find that including a whole chapter is defined as "proof-texting." What they mean is that trying to define faith and practice from the Bible is no longer what "ou"r sects believe.

Sowing Discord Produces Two Different Religions and there can never be any "affirmation" of the error.

John Locke and others define as TWO SEPARATE RELIGIONS the 'high church' notion that we must reform the church by reforming the Bible, as opposed to those who still use the Bible as the Words of Christ.

Yet, the "high church" was the queen's choice in the Protestant world: it never had any Biblical or historical sanction.

Disciples such as Alfred T. DeGroot defines those who use the Bible as "sects" and those who use the "high church" or Catholic right to improvize or innovate as "churches."

However, Alexander Hislop notes that instrumental music not included in the church of England (English Catholic) by the authority of  the high church view. Rather, they tried to repudiate the old Catholic view:

"Now, in opposition to the divine enunciation in regard to "will-worship," the Church of England has admitted into its articles this principle,

that it belongs to "the Church," of her own authority, to "decree rites and ceremonies" (Article XX).

As a matter of historical fact, this principle was never agreed to by the Convocation that adopted the Thirty-nine Articles;

this sentence being found neither in the first-printed edition of the Articles, nor in the draft of them that passed the Convocation, and which is still in existence, with the autograph signatures of the members;

but is believed to have been surreptitiously inserted by the hand of Queen Elizabeth herself, who had much of the overbearing spirit of her father, Henry VIII., and who, as Head of the Church, which the English Constitution made her,

was determined to have a pompous worship in that church, under her ecclesiastical control.

Alfred T. DeGroote representing the ANTI movement declares that a group which IMPROVIZES with the times is a CHURCH while those who remain faithful to the Bible are a SECT.

"Thus there came to be, very early in the career of this movement, interest not only in

(1) Christian unity in a new freedom, but also (defined as 'church')
(2) a
return to the doctrine, ordinances, and discipline of the New Testament church." (p. 153) (defined as 'sect')

The fact is that Al Maxey and the new ANTI-ISM have "wholly invented" the notion that ANY human has any right to tamper with the Word of God: to do so is ANTI-CHRISTIAN. They have no historical scholarship to give them the right to keep on sowing discord by accusing those who will not BOW to Baal while PRETENDING to bow to Christ of being ABERRANT or INSANE.

After the overflow of wealth and people as a "reward" for the civil war, big city churches competing for "attendance" decided to add instruments into non-instrumental churches clearly admitting that they had no Biblical authority and that they would sow discord and the sooner the sore heads left the better it would be for everyone.

The Disciples claimed in court, and probably under oath before a judge at Newbern, Tennessee that if "instrumental music was used AS worship then it would be sinful." But they, legalistically, claimed that it was only an AID. The Judge ridiculed the idea but had NO power to keep them from stealing the "church house of widows." Therefore, no one in history according to David Lipscomb and confirmed by our search ever tried to justify music by the Bible prior to 1878. The 1913 Catholic Encyclopedia still confirmed that fact and urged the return to congregational singing.

Therefore, by every known definition of the Bible and dictionaries and scholarly commentary, the instrumentalists became the sectarians and therefore the heretics (not our words.)

Non-instrumental groups "did not make a choice" and therefore did not introduce a new practice which was against its historical beliefs and spirit of unity.

Therefore, the new anti-ism of blaming the victim they shot for spurting blood on their new choir "gown" does not rise to the level of minimal honesty.

Again: a heretic introduces some unscriptural practice which violates the beliefs of the group into which the heretic or sectarian is forcing his will. And, Vine, adds "for some vested interest."

There is every financial disadvantage IN not using the instruments of the stage to make worship "exciting."

There are powerful financial advantages to adding instruments and beautiful, talented "praise teams." This institutionalizes "the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the lust of the ears."

Therefore, Al Maxey defends the sectarians and remains on the payroll by turning black into white.

Lucifer was the harp-playing and piping prostitute in the garden of Eden: there is never any approved use of instrumental music to worship a Spirit God in the entire Bible:

"The instruments were used as worship to God and to give glory and elat to the earthly kingdom. They were tolerated by God as were many other things during this period, that he did not approve.

The establishment of the kingdom itself was an act of rebellion against God" (David Lipscomb, Queries and Answers, pp. 226, 227, and Gospel Advocate, 1899, pp. 376, 377).

Of course, God tolerated instrumental music in the sense that He did not strike dead the prostitutes and sodomites who prowled around the Temple as the "state capital" and the king's shrine. But, He sentenced them to captivity and death by NOT protecting them and allowing them to COLLECT the penalty for which their CHANGED WORSHIP earned them--the old fashioned way.

As a result of this act of rebellion, in Ecclesiasticus 47 David "made melody" with the voice and heart. However, of his kingship:

6. who brought kings down to destruction, and famous men from their beds;
7. who heard rebuke at Sinai and judgments of vengeance at Horeb;
8. who anointed kings to inflict retribution,

and prophets to succeed you.

O Israel, thou hast destroyed thyself; but in me is thine help. Hosea 13:9

I will be thy king: where is any other that may save thee in all thy cities? and thy judges of whom thou saidst, Give me a king and princes? Hosea 13:10

I gave thee a king in mine anger, and took him away in my wrath. Hosea 13:11

So, again, the meaning of "sectarian" accrues to the addition of anything which gives glory to the spectacle.

The "fracture" occurs the moment something offensive is added to make a new sectarian group.

Those who leave cannot fracture that which has been fractured. By analogy, if adultery breaks wedlock, then getting a certificate from the state does not sow discord and break the marriage.

Al Maxey: The spirit of sectarianism is an attitude of religious superiority in which such a group perceives itself to be infinitely above all others in every respect. Such a spirit will eventually lead to exclusivism, judgmentalism, and isolationism. It is a divisive spirit.
It would appear that those who added the "musical concept" even in singing idle, secular or sentimental poetry thought that they were infinitely superior to the Word of Christ or Spirit which Paul insisted be the 'resource' for teaching or preaching and leaving the "singing and melody" in the heart.

Why? Why, because "melody" is based on grinding the enemy to bits with instruments to turn them coward: Jesus did that to Judas when the SOP he shreded for Judas was a sign which only Judas understood. Sop is related to Melody. One makes melody by twanging a bow string to send an arrow "singing" into the human heart to kill them. Therefore, Paul absolutely outlawed external melody.

Therefore, adding instruments flowed from a spirit of superiority to those who were "stuck" with the Bible and did not receive periodic updates from the denominational headquarters.

Not using instruments can never be based on a feeling of superiority. There was never any "music" connected with the worship of God. However, blowing of hundreds of trumpets, shouting to "praise" the superiority of our Warrior God over yours and tens of thousands of warriors twanging their bow string was a feeling of superiority: the Jewish war chant.

When Elijah spoke the quiet word of God to do what the 950 musical, charismatic prophets of Baal and Asherah failed to do he did not feel superior but in mortal fear.

Calling non-instrumentalists sectarians seems distinctily to be a spirit of superiority. Calling non-instrumentalists legalists for NOT obeying a law might be from a spirit of superiority.

No Preexisting Culture or Command for Music as Worship.

The Pre Monarchy period of Israel including David's plague-stopping burnt offerings HAD NO CULTURE OF MUSIC AS WORSHIP.

The entire culture of the "synagoguing" Jews even as the civil rulers and clergy conducted animal sacrifices at the Temple and at Jerusalem or in the area had no COMPONENT OF MUSIC AS A TOOL OF WORSHIP. The "sounders" made a great crashing noise but the only ones who "worshiped" did so by falling on their face. They were not "musicians" but excellers, overseers, straw bosses and yes even slave drivers. The "chief musicians" were under the commanders of the army and their "service" was hard bondage.

The common Jews "who heard Jesus gladly" had no culture connecting "worship" with music.


The more institutionalized and Pharisee controlled Synagogue still HAD NO CULTURE OF MUSIC AS WORSHIP.

Josephus would later warn the Levitical Singers that the attempt to wear the linen ephod and perform as temple singers had destroyed the nation once and it would do so again.

Therefore, the SECTARIANS called Christians broke away from paying the temple tax or making sacrifices "offered to God but consumed by the priests."

There was no MUSIC AS WORSHIP from which to break away.

Jesus could heap total abuse upon the Pharisees but not even they ever dared introduce instruments into the synagogue.

Jesus did not use instruments: ejected musicians "more or less violently" as one ejects dung because this "music" was for the truly dead.

Psalm 41 prophesied that Judas would try to "triumph over" Jesus with instruments and "making a joyful noise." This is fully explained in the DSS translation of Psalm 41. Jesus then accused the Jews of being "children" in the marketplace piping trying to make Him perform the Dionysus dance and lament as a sign of utter defeat. Jesus cast out the musical mourning team "more or less violently," and Jesus refused to attend the oppening day of the Feast of Tabernacles which had become a giant fertility ritual. Furthermore, Jesus sent the evangelists out to preach and not to sing.

Paul outlawed the culture of the Dionysus and Orpheus worshipers.

Paul did not prescribe any "musical" term. The direct command throughout his letters is to use The Word of Christ to Teach and Admonish one another. That is the "preaching" task. The in-spirit, personal singing and melody is "in the heart" and is directed to God: I cannot do that listening to a Rock band or watching Suped Up Sister Singers in the SECT of the SENSES.


KNOW WHAT? THE ELDERS KNOW THAT SUCKER-SEEKING-SENSUOUS praise teams are better than having a Money Changing Minister or a Sister Seller of Sick Sheep.

In order to include music AS worship one has to make up a new law. That is the LAW OF SILENCE. But why would anyone depend on The Law of Silence which says: "God hath not said, 'Thou shalt not sing and make melody on a harp' therefore we are legally free to do so and sow discord among at-peace brethren? What is the motive and who is the motivator?

The Church of Christ had no culture of music

Even though Rome thought that it had control of the "universal" or world-wide church it was still called The Church of Christ. There was NO CULTURE OF INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC in what was usually identified as the church of Christ until a few Cathedrals added instruments to attract customers. But, they always sowed discord. They were added using the same modern "authority": we need to attract the Seekers to pay off the huge debt by taking money from the poor. Catholic said, as do any today, that they simply need no authority to do whatever they wish even knowing beforhand that they are creating a "musical sect" and sowing discord and offending many of these little ones.

However, music was never part of the official worship of which the common people's congregaton HAD NO PART.

There was NO CULTURE OF INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC in the groups in which churches of Christ continued to shake off ecclesiastical dictatorships.

The Instrumental Music Sect

About 1800 years too late THE INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC SECT arose to stop the rapid growth of those who had freed themselves to worship "in spirit" and using "the Word" which is the only worship Jesus said that the Father seeks. "Seeking God" or "giving heed to the public reading of the Word" is the only clearly-defined or preplanned "act of worship" in addition to meeting to eat the Lord's Supper which was also a teaching or showing forth act. It is not possible to worship "in spirit" or in the mind where Christ meets us while showing musical skills allowed solely because it demonstrates a SUPERIOR FORM OF MODERN MUSIC which is not remotely connected to the ideas of Paul. It is not possible for me to "give heed to God" when a superior mediator is performing right in my face seducing me with the lust of the eye, the lust of the ear and the vain glory of life: if Jesud didn't teach it then He said that it is VAIN WORSHIP.


musical sect repudiated the views of the established message of the Old Testament, the established church, and the established view of Biblical authority for music until they arrived on the scene in A.D. 1878 to correct the universal view.

The new "law of silence" and treatment of Scripture had escaped all of the Church Fathers and founders of Reformation churches.

History knows that this came out of "the code of the wild frontier." The Witchcraft craze led into the Great American Awakening which aroused many but created the host of new sects including at one time about 341 protestant sects when there had been few. Quakers went from one to four. Many of these never fully "organized" into a denomination but there are about 146 Baptists sects remaining.

The Second Awakening peaking at Cane Ridge among the Presbyterians, Methodists and Baptists shopping for sheep, was empowered by a new form of hymn singing which included a strong dose of black Voodoo secretly cursing the masters while seeming Christian.

Dallas Burdette verbalizes the ancient superstition that praise empowers God and men and suggests the self-abandonment which is most often triggered by music.

I will say it as kindly as I can but anyone who does not believe that there is NO CULTURE OF MUSIC connected with the collective worship of God and that the Bible does not, over and over, associate instruments with saying, "We will not listen to God's Words" is absolutely and totally BLINDED BY THE MUSICAL SECT.

That, too, is part of the only story we have about "religion" and "music": that Satan led the "youth" to form mixed-sex choirs and to use instrumental music to seduce the Holy Sethites away from the Living Word. When they fell they could never return to the Word. Therefore, they blindly tried to suck everyone else into their musical sect to make them feel "affirmed."

Since from the Garden of Eden, the ORTHODOX culture for spiritual worship which was "seeking God, living right and treating others right" had no LEGAL PROHIBITION against instruments but they simply have no place when you are trying to get your spirit immunized from the noise of the world. Didn't Jesus say "pray in your closet?" But, but, but, "He didn't say, 'thou shalt not have the music team aide thee in thy meditation.'" And, shucks, the legalists are right. But you are trying to get into my mind (nous) as my unique holy place (naos) where God meets people to His Throne Room one at a time: and any musical Levite who stumbles in saying "Lord, Lord" with instruments is in a heep of trouble.

God said through Ezekiel: They listen to my Word like the masses listen to a prostitute with a beautiful voice and can play skillfully upon an instruments. However, they hear the "words" but they have no intention of obeying them. God told the same story in Amos 5, 6 and 8; and Isaiah 5.

BUT, BUT, BUT, "God hath not said, 'THOU shalt not sing erotic praise songs and play with they cymbals."

And that is a fact, but Jesus said that He only speaks to "those with ears." And he only explains in private.


But, not to worry. We still have a way to call up GRACE and that will allow us to continue to do "music" even though we know that we are "stealing the church houses of widows." And, and, and, "I know that I lied about not having sex with THAT woman. But, the Republicans and Press are the guilty party." That is the meaning of Post-Modernism which came before the beast of music was resurrected again in the last days.

Know what? In the paraphrased words of Paul to the Corinthians, "Fools love to be fooled."

The people who seek to hold men to unadorned notions,

with whom to identify liberty, is held to be as absurd as would have been for Gordon, of Jamaica, to have expected justice from a court martial of aristocratic cadets and martinets.

The totality of musical and instrumental meaning in the Bible is based on destructive, bluffing efforts. Therefore, taking a page from Hitler, the way to defeat those resisting your "truth" is to criticize, criticize, criticize. They tried the musical bluff on Jesus.

This follows the teachings of the master propagandist Goebels, of Nazi fame, who learned from Hitler taught that

'if you repeat a lie often enough, the public will believe it'.
Because the instrumentalists created a musical sect often based on regional superiority over the "defeated" southern churches and the claim to be citified and sophisticated and intellectually superior to those who didn't use instruments, those who introduced instruments obviously felt that their position was so religiously superior that it was worth violating the clear command against sowing discord and creating a musical sect.

The "music" or noise of the Levitical sounders was to exclude the worshipers who had become "strangers" at Mount Sinai and would enter into the holy precincts at the cost of their lives.

Non-instrumentalists exclude no one: every person who loves instruments is invited to a non-instrumental group and we will not "offend your conscience."

Instrumentalists exclude everyone who cannot bow their knees and "sing" while the clergy "pipes."

Al Maxey: The Greek word for sect is hairesis, from which we derive the word "heresy." It means "discord, contention, and factions brought about by the exercise of choice." It comes from a root word meaning "to choose."
Thus, "heresy" or "sectarianism" is simply the creation of discord, contention, and factions due to a person exercising choice.
Because faithful churches HAD NOT used instruments prior to Al Maxey's SECT, and even the Catholic Encyclopedia repudiates it, the HERESY which created DISCORD was by Al's SECTARIANS. When the Catholics added the pipe organ it was NOT to accompany congregational singing. It played processionals, recessionals, interludes and set the PITCH for the clergy chanter or ENchanter. These early pipe organs were not SUITED to accompany the singing of the time which had no FOUR PART complex harmony.

Christians were a SECT because they exercised the choice not to kill innocent animals while the musical warrior Levites made a great crashing sound. However, Al defends the SECTARIANS who made a choice to LIFT UP non -instrumental churches FOR THEIR OWN USE.

The Greek word Heresy from Liddell and Scott: Haireô means "to take with the hand, grasp, hair. To take by force, to take a city, Il., etc.; to overpower, kill, often of passions, to take, catch, as in hunting, hairein tina kleptonta to convict of theft. To take for oneself. Another form means: take with the hand, grasp, seize as in the Komo or naked dance. Having taken up [the song]. A person whom makes the anti-Maxey choice to NOT remain while others become HERETICS or SECTARIANS by forcing music AS worship can never be a HERETIC. Contrary to the Rubel Shelly Aztec PATTERNISM, the one INVADED can never be accused of turning and MOUNTING AN ATTACK.

John Locke defines heresy or sectarianism based on Biblical definitions. If you force the substitution of Jack Daniel's for the fruit of the vine, you have made a choice.

Because this violates the view generally held you are the Sectarian.

But as one pastor notes, "music works but LSD works faster" so he suggested LSD in the communion wine. Both would attract the masses but you must remember that Jesus never spoke to the "multitudes" except in parables.

If I choose to leave, abandoning my interest in the ownership of the property because I continue to do what the Bible says and which I have always done, I can never be defined as a sectarian. I did not make the change and there is a financial disadvantage to allowing my ownership be taken.

Christianity Today notes that in one Birmingham Methodist church there are 5 different musical sects. A new sect is created any time Rap and Rock is added whether I leave or not. If I choose not to "worship the performers" and leave, I cannot break that which the innovator has already broken.

If I define as anti-scriptural any musical or "body worship" as contrary to the revealed and common sense view of "spiritual worship" I am still not a sectarian but a teacher of facts which have escaped the masses.

If I tell people that music is the oldest "drug inducing" device known to mankind and that I believe that it is evil to do mind-altering and pasting the Christian logo on it, I am still not a sectarian.

If I never enter a church where Luther's "ensign of Baal" is played, I am still not a sectarian.

The sower of discord and the SECTARIAN and the promoter of the most "works-intensive" and demanding the "works of human hands" act one can perform, is the one who introduces: (1) music for which he had no Biblical authority, (2) something he does not need to worship acceptably, and (3) something he knows beforehand will sow discord and offend these little ones. The definition is always:

To innovate or improvise or to make unacceptable changes is to sectarianize.

To define the "discorded" and the "offended" and therefore the "leavers" as the sectarian is doing psychological violence to the offended, to the Bible and to any known definition of heresy or sectarian. One can believe that the goal is to intimidate everyone to prevent their trying to defend what they hallucinate to be indefensible.

This is a faithful saying and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they

which have believed in God
might be careful to maintain good works.
These things are good and profitable unto men. Titus 3:8

But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain. Titus 3:9

All instrumental proponents fall back on the Monarchy period under the Israelite kings. This was the "final act" of a nation who had been "turned over to worship the starry hosts" (Acts 7, etc.) and was first terminated in Israel for the causes listed in Amos 4, 5 and 6 and Isaiah 5 which resulted in the loss of the Word Amos 8, Isaiah 5. Therefore, they are striving to introduce the Levitical "noise" without the "locked at the hip" burning of animals in repudiation of Christ.

This does not mean to choose NOT to paganize with music: it means the MUSICAL SECTARIANS choose to TAKE FOR THEMSELVES the property of others. The Bible calls them THIEVES.

But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth: 2Th.2:13

Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season; Heb.11:25

Women received their dead raised to life again: and others were tortured, not accepting deliverance; that they might obtain a better resurrection: Heb 11:35

Tumpainzo (g5178) toom-pan-id'-zo; from a der. of 5180 (mean, a drum, 'tympanum"); to stretch on an instrument of torture resembling a drum, and thus beat to death: - torture.

Drums still beat you to death. That is why the "masters" outlawed black drumming. Therefore, they took up hand clapping and master didn't know that he was being Voodooed.

"Others were tortured, not accepting their release, so that they might obtain a better resurrection" brings to mind yet another scene during the Maccabean Revolt. The word "tortured" is tumpanizo, from which we get the term tympani or a kettledrum with a tightly drawn skin covering it. The victim would be stretched on a rack or wheel until their skin was as tight as a drum, and then beaten until every bone was out of joint and he eventually died. "Not accepting their release" refers to the countless brethren that refused to renounce the Christian faith, accepting the punishment handed them. In Afghanistan and other Islamic countries, those arrested for being Christians are sometimes given three days to recant their faith and return to Islam. Afterward many of them are hanged or beheaded or left to rot in a prison because they did not accept release that required them to deny their Lord. But the reality of resurrection keeps them pressing on by faith. One of the seven brothers told Antiochus Epiphanes, "You accursed wretch, you dismiss us from this present life, but the King of the universe will raise us up to an everlasting renewal of life, because we have died for his laws" [Second Maccabees 7:9].

This is what they did to Jesus.

The drum frame was actually a cross: they stretched your "hide" on it and beat you to death.

Of Mother Goddess Worship: The worship was orgiastic in the extreme, and was accompanied by the sound of such frenzy-producing instruments as the tympana, cymbala, tibiæ, and cornu, (See 1 Cor 13)

and culminated in scourging, self-mutilation, syncope from excitement. and even death from hemorrhage or heart-failure (cf. Lucr. 2.598ff.; Varr. Sat. Men. 131 Büch.ff.; Ov. Fast. 4.179ff.).

Syncope: Webster. 1) the dropping of the sounds or letters from the middle of a word. 2) fainting, or loss of consciousness, caused by a temporary deficiency of blood supply to the brain.

"Harmony" seeks to produce these exact effects while still being legalistic.

Sounding Brass and Tinkling Cymbals

"Instruments" were always instruments of warfare.

"The trumpets were assigned a number of complicated signals, which implied their ability of blowing legato, staccato, and trills, and tonguing, all in unison, not 'simultaneously,' but 'as with one mouth.' Moreover, these apocalyptical trumpets bear different names: trumpets of assembly, of battle, of the slain, of ambush, etc.

In generally, they were used to terrorize the enemy into panic (Judges 7:19-20). This function was, for all practical purposes, identical with that of the trumpets of Revelation.

In the temple the signals of the trumpet introduced every ceremony and every sacrifice." (International Dictionary of the Bible, p. 472-3, Abingdon).

You see, musicians are messing with your brain and causing mental dissociation. This is why that "feeling" can be peddled to you as "spiritual." But it is a morphine injection and, as Paul warned the Corinthians, "your assemblies do more harm than good."

Here is the clergy showing superiority over Jesus.

Because the "musicians" were under the secular king and commanders of the army, the musical attack upon Jesus was in fulfillment of Psalm 41. However, their triumph is short-lived and in the end, Jesus will triumph over the Jews. This judgment is being carried out when the people sing, play instruments but they are worshiping Dionysus or Bacchus to validate their lostness.

One of the keenly-felt losses was that apparently the Jews played their harps even as a million of them were being conveyed to Topheth to the beat of the Roman instruments. Where did the harps go? We suggest that, like the king of Babylon, they went to the burn pile with them. And they didn't think about adding instruments until A.D. 1815 when the liberals "Christianized."

Al Maxey: A "heretic," according to the biblical definition, would be "one who creates or fosters factions and divisions by the choices which he/she makes." The word for heretic appears only one time in the New Covenant writings (Titus 3:10), where Paul says such ones are to be rejected because of their perverse desire to stir up strife over their own ideas or choices.

Titus 3:10 A man that is an heretick, after the first and second admonition reject;  

Hairetikos (g141) hahee-ret-ee-kos'; from the same as 140; a schismatic: - heretic [the Gr. word itself].

Haireomai (g138) means to TAKE FOR ONESELF.  

This word is related to:

Airo (g142) ah'ee-ro; a prim. verb; to lift; by impl. to take up or away; fig. to raise (the voice), keep in suspense (the mind); spec. to sail away (i.e. weigh anchor); by Heb. [comp. 5375] to expiate sin: - away with, bear (up), carry, lift up, loose, make to doubt, put away, remove, take (away, up).

In the sacrificial system in Greece the MUSICAL noise makers were called PARASITES and the HERETICS were the ones who "lifted up the lamb to cut its throught."

The sowers of discord are the SECTARIANS by absolute definition because.

Lipscomb wrote as late as 1878 that:

We do not think anyone has ever claimed authority from Scriptures to use the organ in worship. They only claim it is not condemned. It is used as an assister in worship...Prayer, praise, thanksgiving and making melody in the heart (mind) unto the Lord are acts of worship ordained of God, but no authority do we find for for the organ." Sounding Brass and Clanging Cymbals, J. E. Choate and William Woodson". (p. 78).

Therefore, those who introduced instruments formed a new SECT by making a choice for which there was no Scriptural authority and knowing that they were creating a sect by sowing discord.

If you shoot me in the heart it would be insanity for you to blame me for spurting blood on you.

And, yet the ongoing urge to prop up the Musical Sect allows men who claim to be sane, spiritual and loving to do just that.

Undoubtedly, they do it because advertising evil works.

Al Maxey: In the Jewish religion there were many sects; splinter groups devoted to promoting particular preferences, practices, or perceptions --- and in so doing, promoting division of God's people. The Sadducees and Pharisees were two such sects. Indeed, the Jews perceived Christianity as just another sect within their own religion (Acts 24:14; 28:22).

When the Levitical "sounders" made a great crashing noise at the burning of animal sacrifices, the gates were shut and people "put outside the camp." Because the Monarchy and its sacrificial system was "like the nations" God quarantined it from the common people. The people always "synagogued" or gathered to hear the reading of the Word.

Therefore, the Pharisees had a noble beginning "choosing" to honor the "people's" synagogues to keep them away from the musical, sacrificial temple rituals which were never for the common people.

There was only one "instrumental sect" but it was not truly a religious sect any more than David's Temple system was a religious sect: it was a political-civil institution "like the nations" as a result of the musical idolatry at Mount Sinai and "firing" God.

It was the instrumental music sect which murdered Jesus.
This was prophesied in Psalm 41 and
The Judas Bag was for "carrying the mouthpieces of wind instruments."

The Essenes fled Jerusalem to escape the same temple state and be able to worship more spiritually. Their translation of Psalm 41 amplifies the "triumph over" which Judas and the priests would try. That is, they tried to "pollute" Jesus with instrumental music which should be reserved for warfare against the enemy: Beliar or Beelzebub.

The Essenes Condemn or Allegorize Instruments.

Psalm 41 said that Judas would try to triumph over Jesus with the "alarm." This was blowing wind instrument, twanging bowstrings (zithers) and "making a joyful noise before the Lord." This was the way the people taunted the enemy into cowardice.

Al, These were the musicians "under the king and commanders of the army" whom you follow rather than a Holy God Who never changed:

They have overtaken me in a narrow pass (gap) without escape
And there is no rest for me in my trial.
They sound my censure upon a harp
and their murmuring and storming upon a zither." Ps.41:11

When you "sound the instruments" it is like "twanging the bowstrings" and it is intended from the beginning to take the eye and mind off Jesus at the center and His Words as Spirit and Life.

Al Maxey: Each of these sects felt they were the sole possessors of Truth in its fullness and purity. Thus, they spent more time fussing and fighting than fellowshiping. Each sect offered the people a choice of varying systems of practice and belief, and when one exercised his "option to choose," he at that point technically became a heretic --- one who through the exercise of choice became party to a party/sect.

Since Jesus prayed for (John 17), and even died for (Ephesians 2), the unity and oneness of His church, one can conceive of

no greater heresy than an arrogant spirit which seeks to divide it once again based upon personal choices.
When this started to happen in Corinth, Paul addressed the problem immediately! Sectarianism is a "work of the flesh" (Galatians 5:20), and its practice will exclude one from the kingdom.
No, that is not a fact. The Pharisees were Post-Modern or "high church" like the Disciples and other musical groups: they could invent their own TRADITIONALISM to keep from following the "traditions" taught by God. And they did it to attract the seekers and pray over people to "steal the houses of widows." They didn't need to be right: obey our new sectarian traditions or get out.

Division could not exist unless someone made a choice based upon personal views. Someone "cracks the egg" and if the "yolk flows out" you have to blame the egg cracker and not the yolk.

God (full Deity) living in a human body could not cease to be fullly God. By analogy, if I am the king and take off my kingly robes and put on the rags of the beggar, I do not cease to be the king "enfolded" within the beggar's garments. The apostles were dealing with the King of the universe or Father but because He was manifest as a Son or creature, Philip didn't recognize Him.

Unity is based on the Word of God only. One of the fundamental things which MUST be believed is that as the SON, the Christ of God speaks only those words which He hears from the FATHER whom Jesus said was within. The general explanation of the "trinity" which is NEVER seen as three separated beings is that God is the father of the thought. The Son is the Word which is spoken directly from the Holy Spirit which is the Mind of Christ (1 Cor 2). This is why the WORDS of God in His Christ are spirit and life. Those who "spoke on their own" which defined the Jewish clergy were sons of THEIR father the Devil.

The Sadducees did not feel that they were right: if you are in control you don't have to worry about being right.

The Pharisees repudiated the Word of God using the same liberties the musical sectarians used to add instruments. The were the first Narrative Theologians who preached the CORE law by deliberately replacing the Word of God with a new traditionalism to make themselves more powerful.

Aren't we lucky that whatever those who replaced the Law with TRADITIONALISM (the Pharisees), Jesus came along and repudiated the notion that we can add whatever we wish:

Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. Mark 7:7

For laying aside the commandment of God,
........ ye hold the tradition of men,
........ as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do. Mark 7:8

The anti-christ group were the Pharisees [for hire preachers and prayers], the Scribes or song and sermon writers for sale and the sectarian hypocrites. These were the performers in both song and sermon. ALL of them were forced to reject the free word of Christ so that they might have something to peddle or traffick or make merchandise with.

And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God,
........that ye may keep your own tradition. Mark 7:9

The entire Israelite leadership elders fired God and taught for their doctrine the commandments of men. This included adding "musical" instruments to amplify the noise during the burning of animals. The sacrifices were to convict people of sin. However, the Israelites wanted to worship "like the nations." In all of the national worship systems the loud instrumental noise and praise singing was superstitiously believed to frighten away the evil sounds and spirits and to EMPOWER the gods.

This was an "approved example" of God beating the entire area over their heads with instrumental noise as He drove them into captivity and death.

The Essenes were out in the wilderness having repudiated religion in general and were getting ready for war.

The Christians were absolutely, truly and correctly a SECT because they worshiped God according to the demand of Christ and not according to the way of the Pharisees or Temple musical sect.

Jesus demanded that worship must be "in spirit" and that means in the mind or heart and not in the body. It must be in accordance with Truth and He is the Spirit of Truth, the Holy Spirit, the Mind of Christ and He put that Spirit and Life into His Words (John 6:63)

But, then all of Judaism was an anti-God Sect. Their instrumental madness was exactly what God had abandoned them to because of their Egyptian, musical idolatry at Mount Sinai.

The Corinthian church was branded carnal and this is why Paul preached "only Christ and Him crucified." Paul speaks directly to the rising up to play at Mount Sinai and makes it the worship of the demons. Rising up to PLAY was not playing checkers. Rather, it was the musical idolatry which Israel brought with them from Egypt. You can understand what happened at Sinai by understanding the Egyptian religion.

Paul warned about the "uncovered prophesying" always by women which was caused by singing, dancing, playing instruments. They were just out of paganism and we can understand the meaning of prophesying in its usual Greek sense: trying to use music and wine to create the madness Paul identified in chapter 14. In chapter 12 he did not identify a musical facilitator (manipulator) as a gifted person. He also identified their speaking to god (generic) as speaking into the air. He equated singing self-composed songs in the charismatic style of the Greek babblers with the instruments of warfare. In 2 Corinthians he said that the intellectual or spiritual warfare is not conducted using carnal weapons. Because he used "lifeless instruments" in first Corinthians and from his word this could just as easily be translated "carnal musical instruments." Same Greek Word.

In Romans 10 Paul issued the same "rising up to play" musical worship warning.

In Romans 14 Paul spoke of the Vegetarian, Orphic, Musical sectarian background in competition with the meat-eating, wine-drinking, musical, Dionysic sectarian background meeting together in Rome: the hotbed of these religions.

In chapter 15 he defined a way of harmony for any fellowship: speak the revealed words of Christ. He said the same to the Dionysic-influenced Ephesians and Colossians: no music word used. Speak is preach.

This would outlaw both groups of once musical sectarians from performing "musical" rituals.

For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning (didaskalia teaching), that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope. Rom 15:4

Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow. 1 Pe 1:11

That ye may with one mind and one mouth glorify (worship) God,
even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Rom 15:6
Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another

None of the Bible speaks of "music" as a worship word. Paul changed nothing but warned both Jews and Gentiles that the Christian Sect is the synagogue sect and therefore its "worship" is devoted to the Word of God.

Therefore, any "musical" sect would be an anti-Christian sect.

Al Maxey: When one exercises his "right to choose," and chooses to affiliate himself with a group which creates and fosters exclusivism and isolationism

as a result of promoting its own perceptions and practices,

that person has chosen to embrace heresy. This is a spirit of sectarianism.
It must be avoided at all cost, and exposed at every opportunity! Our oneness depends upon it!
This is a fact and Al Maxey stands condemned and sentenced out of his own mouth. No one is discorded by attending a church which DOES NOT perform music as one of the oldest, legalistic, paganistic forms of PATTERNISM. However, those who added instruments knew and with a high hand forced instruments into peacable churches and drove the owners out. They were FORCED to listen to people making music as paganism or leave. If they remained they were told to shut up or get out.

The non-instrumental churches did not "choose" to do anything which was not explicitely commanded in the Bible and which had not been the scholarly-held view for now 2,000 years. That means that they COULD NOT be sectarians.

The instrumentalists picked music, according to the Catholic Encyclopedia which should know, from many pagan cults: music was common to all superstitious cults.

Many fostered and created exclusivism and "stole the church houses of widows" just as surely as a "wife" who brings a surrogate "husband" in to "aid" her old traditional husband sows discord.

This means that if you don't "come out of her" meaning the non-instrumental church which will not endorse instrumentalists then God will get you. Dwaine Dunning is a bit more explicit: he suggests that we take the axe to the non-instrumental position.

We have never heard anyone say that they cannot worship WITHOUT instruments. Therefore, the non-instrumental church provides a place to worship without offending any personal opinion.

According to F. LaGard Smith, most of the world's worshipers worship without instruments!

Therefore, this is a fact: the instrumentalists choose to create and foster exclsivism by making it impossible for those remaining faithful to the Biblical view and 1800 years of church history to remain.

Therefore, the instrumental view is the narrow, exclusive view. Al Maxey identifies it as HERESY.

Theatrical performance with Sister Singers is a deliberate Seeker System just as was Agrippa's center and the Catholic's when instruments were added to attract trade fairs. It is not much different from that of Apollo at Delphi: Apollo is Abaddon, Apollyon and music and women "prophesiers" was vital to his complex. The "authority" Paul spoke of in the Greek world meant "sexual authority." And any preside-over with a tune female singer or singers is added because the elders need more money. All of the musical pagan groups had a more powerful way to get the money.

The poor people had no money but if you added instrumental professionalism you could provide a "venue for CCM, Rock and Rap" and attract a more exclusive "audience."

Non-instrumentalists do not exclude anyone who just drops in but instrumentalists exclude anyone with a spiritual sense or unable able to bear the "spiritual anxiety created by religious ritual" now restored and which Jesus died to destroy.

Jesus said that truth had been hidden in parables "from the foundation of the world." That began to be recorded in Genesis. The clear parable message is that the "serpent" stands for the musical soothsayers and magicians. Eve's spiritual death was complete: she became a "knowing one" or a soothsayer or necromancer. Too deep for now.

Based on the Biblical clear statements and all of the then contemporary literature, instrumental music was imposed by Satan upon the youth in order to seduce people away from the Word. The Book of Enoch quoted by Jude, Peter and Jesus and others about 128 times promises that God will come with ten thousand of His saints for those who followed Lucifer and introduced mixed-sex choirs, wine and instrumental music to seduce the people and to become less exclusive.

"With the wine-drinking (which is the literal meaning of the Hebrew for feasting), went music and dancing." (Heaton, E. W., Everyday Life in Old Testament times, Scribners, p. 93)

"In pagan traditions, musical instruments are invented by gods or demi-gods, such as titans. In the Bible, credit is assigned to antediluvian patriarchs, for example, the descendants of Cain in Genesis 4:21. There is no other biblical tradition about the invention of musical instruments." Conclusion: Al Maxey has absolutely no Biblical support for his views. On the contrary, his authority is worship devoted to the demons. There, I have said what the Bible and history always said.

The Bible and all literature associates music with heresy: With Lucifer's "Thought Leaders" the king of Tyre, the king of Babylon and the end-time Babylon Whore marriage of religion, commerce and entertainment.

If you worship at Zion you will worship at the "alternative" altar permitted by David because he was too fearful to every return to Gibeon. You will worship at the temple of the civil state taken over from the Jebusites who already worshiped the starry host. You will play the sacrificial sound (not music) while they crucify Christ over and over and over.

If you pick a "style of music" you will add the essential ingredient of civil, national rituals but the music is never called "worship." The ancestors of the Christian Church would define for you "the organ is sinful if it is part of the worship." You have to figure out some way to let it AID you without becoming "worship" or you are a sinner.

Music attacks every nerve ending in the body and is not an operative word in the Bible defining the people's worship.

Jesus declared that the burden laded by the clergy had ceased. This burden is defined as loading down a pack animal. It is defined as "spiritual anxiety created by religious ritual." And nothing creates "spiritual anxiety" more than harmonized music whose "bow twanging" value is enhanced by instruments. The most ancient documents from the Ancient Near East understood that understanding of music as a power tool or weapon.

The Bible never speaks of "singing and making HARMONY in the glands."

Beginning in those documents, defended by the meaning of Jubal, Jabal, Tubal-Cain and Naamah; as well as he meaning of "handle" as "without authority" and amplified in the Book of Enoch and a dozen comparable documents some written before the time of Christ, Satan is the facilitator of the father of instrumentalists in the "people control sense." The "music" word (symphonia) is reserved for a secular party where "music" to the Greeks in the Classics is often defined as "singing and dancing." It is also reserved for the end-time Babylon Harlot religion of Revelation 18.

There is no "musical" concept in God's Holy Word except for mind-altering prostitutes and commercial prostitutes, rising up to play in musical idolatry at Mount Sinai, the use of instruments for warfare or for king or temple dedication or purification and for "plague-stopping" animal sacrifices. In the Intertestament Period animal sacrifices with instruments of the warriors purges the temple but destroys the idolaters.

There is no "legal" way to approach this issue.

There simply is no role for music to play in spirit or in the mind (nous) which is the new holy place (naos) where any musician attempting to crowd in with God and the worshiper to "facilitate" or "mediate" the experience would be killed instantly.

Our spirits have been translated into that heavenly kingdom. Therefore, worship is the UNIQUE "giving heed to the word of God in Christ" because you cannot worship with the works of human hands.

Those who ADD something NOT acceptable for all of church history IMPOSE. It borders on insanity to suggest that those IMPOSED UPON are the IMPOSERS. Singers and instruments IMPOSE a TAX or LEVY on the congregation which God in Christ has REMOVED. When the Christian churches were IMPOSING organs they were FORCED to hire a professional who PEDDLED her talent. They BID UP the price of procuring an organist and IMPOSED up to $5,000.00 A year for a organist.

Spiritual perception flows from spiritual instruction. The instrumentalists are instructed in the negative implications of 'music' as symbolic of telling God: "We aren't listening."

Those who never used instruments have a history which flowed from the first century practice.
They never had to exercise "spiritual perception" to make a decision.

If a group, under the assumption of being free in Christ and the first ammendment, chooses not to add instruments after 2000 years it does not IMPOSE anything on anybody.

Instrumentalist have always been free to impose instruments, confiscate the property, force out the sacrificial owners and play to their hearts content.

No non-instrumentalists has ever stalked into an instrumental church, charged it with lacking spiritual perception and conspiring to subvert their free exercise to play anything they like.

Non-instrumentalists will continue to teach into the total vacuum created by instrumentalists who will not let the truth be taught even after they have lied, cheated and stole the property (real, recent event).

Throughout the church's faithful history instruments were not used for the same reason that I like both turnip greens and ice cream, but there is no rational way to combine them in a single dish (haven't tried).

If you insist on serving turnip greens and icecream in our "restaurant" I have the liberty to flee the DISCORD you have sown.

And, if there is a bone of honesty in you, will not tell people that I was LACKING IN SPIRITUAL PERCEPTION.

Therefore, the "spiritually blind" people who didn't use instruments did not legislate unless Methodists, Baptists, Presbyterians, Congregationalists and others legislated against instruments.

And, there are many groups especially outside of the influence of Hollywood, Dollywood and Grand Ole Opry who find it strange that people would try to worship a Spirit God with music.

The non-instrumentalists simply kept on doing without skipping a beat what their faithful ancestors had done for 1860 years. Music would never have become an issue beginning in the North without the urge to collect dollars to build the newest building, with the tallest steeple (phallic symbol) and to hire the best choir or organist. An organist could earn $5,000.00 a year just after the civil war! And why not, she could pay her way many, many times.

Legislating is to make a new rule such as: "The elders are against it but I am gonna install a melodeon in this here church." The explicit message is that "I am now legislating the use of the organ for this congregation. And you can conform to the new law or leave but you cannot teach against the organ because THAT would be sowing discord"! People also do he same thing in introducing preside-over-with-a tune Sister Singers displacing the Lord's Table and "standing in the holy place."

If my family never consumed alcohol, why would it be anti-humanity to keep on NOT consuming alcohol?

Those who are forced to leave and find an abandoned building in which to meet to do what they had always done do not, in the name of spiritual perception or minimal common sense, legislate anything.

Legislating means enforcement power: the instrumentalists did and do legislate and enforce their new law of worship straight from downtown Babylon.

many brethren continue to struggle over "regulations of divine worship."
Those who fracture are always fractured by an imported church fracturers. Jesus fired them but they just won't stay fired.

They train them in Nashville, Tulsa and other places. Instrumentalists are the only ones this writer is aware of who will dig in like a mole or a stealth bomber and slowly subvert the non-instrumental church and confiscate their property. Being congregational, it is a bit silly to speak of fracturing "the fellowship" where "fellowship" means "denomination." I could suppose that if a thousand congregational churches existed then we could, if we were fracture-inspectors, find a thousand fractured groups. If we could just keep the preachers at home and on the job! Brother Bonding Bashes is the pit from which fractures arise like a beast.

Jesus abandoned animal sacrifices and he, as with every other twelve year old, knew that without the burning of animals there was no rationale for "instrumental noise." But this wasn't music. Blow 120 trumpets tuned to the same note, make a loud shouting noise, and twang the bowstrings and you are not making music: it is always called noise and the musicians were "sounders" and slave drivers. This was the warriors chant: not spiritual worship.

The clergy used the instrumentalists who were always "under the king and commanders of the army to try to destroy Jesus as they musically mocked Him to the cross." Why, then would Jesus abolish sacrifices and "command" the music as part of "Christian liberty" to obey one command of the Law and bring down the rest on the free believer's head.

Restoring the Hard Burden and Spiritual Anxiety from Religious rituals.

Musical worship teams" including the Levitical Musical Worship teams were under the king and the commanders of the army:

David (king of a secular monarchy), together with the commanders of the army, set apart some of the sons of Asaph, Heman and Jeduthun for the ministry of prophesying, accompanied by harps, lyres and cymbals. Here is the list of the men who performed this service: 1 Chr.25:1

Because the temple sacrificial system was IMPOSED BY GOD on those who had fired Him and demanded a king LIKE THE NATIONS so that they could WORSHIP LIKE THE NATIONS don't be surprised that MOLECH representing Abaddon or the Destroyer is more often worshiped with music that Yahweh.

Topheth as a type of Hell was once the king's music grove. It was a reproduction of the garden of Eden. Lucifer was there also in the form of Molech where the MUSICAL INSTRUMENT SECT burned babies in the red hot arms of their "god" believing that the screams was the voice of their god.

This "hell" was named after the tabret or tambourine.

Of building the temple or overseeing the burning of thousands of animal carcasses the "musicians" blew dozens of trumpets during animal burning or they panicked the enemy into retreat or they drove even Israelites into building the Temple. Singing erotic praise songs and hand-clapping music is the tyrants method of "getting more work" out of the slaves. Showing that "praise singing" is derived in part from Voodoo which replaced West Africal devil worship:

So, Al, you as an unauthorized "clergy" may just lust for music to be your "whip" or "scorpion" to get more "work" out of the congregation: if they feel the "spirituality" it is because they first feel the "pain" of the tyrany of music "taking away the key to knowledge" in the desperate hope that no one will notice that the KING wasn't authorized.

When Israel rose up to "play" in musical idolatry, God made the people "strangers" and the Levites to keep them out of His symbolic presence.

The end-time "reformation" will see Abbadon or Apollyon doing his work. In Revelation 18 the Tyrian king/queen "harp-playing" harlot will arise. Al, like so many pro-musical changers, seems amazed that the "old decadent and deleterious" (that means rotten and destructive) brethren will not quit breathing when they have been pronounced dead. Well, pagan fads come and go but the Word will endure forever. But, I love the Baby Boomers (Infantile Drummers). I can tell jokes I heard in 1945 and they believe that it is original, new and reformed.

Al Maxey: Involved in endless debates over the "mountain" in which men ought to worship, they have found themselves with little time or inclination to embrace or promote worship which is "in spirit and truth."
These two mountains were not attitudes but PLACES. At Gerezim, Amos defines the same "rising up to play" in the worship of the starry host which God imposed on the nation whe Israel lost the Covenant at Mount Sinai. Jesus defined the new PLACE for worship. It is not in a new temple with a restoration of the sacrificial music without the burning of animals (we burn the brethren who won't dance while we pipe). The PLACE for worship is the human spirit and it is the holy place: you cannot go there with me, you cannot facilitate my worship and you cannot, as musicians claim, mediate between me and God without getting yourself spiritually run through with the Sword of the Spirit and become spiritually doomed. Presumption is a very serious sin. That was the sin of Lucifer who "came equipped with pipes and cymbals."

Truth is the Spirit of Truth, Jesus the Word, the word which is spirit and life. The ONLY collective worship word used in the New Testament is to "give heed" to Christ by giving heed to His word taught where "teach" is the same as "preach" with the singing and melody left to my spirit or my heart to learn and be corrected. Paul said "teach" and "if you have ears" excluded instruments and "harmony" which isn't melody which didn't exist.

If you give heed to the singer's talent, looks and human praise songs (erotic, magical, climaxing) then you are worshiping the performer and not God. But, she gives you a buzz. Sure. But that is not a "holy" spirit you are feeling but a drug high.

This new reformation of the end-time is The Third Wave.

After she (Carol Wimber) had a dream in 1976 of standing preaching to a large crowd a seven-point sermon on the gifts of the Spirit, at the final point,  'a sensation like hot electricity' hit her head, travelled down her body, then up and out of her mouth. She awakened speaking in tongues. The sensation of heat and electricity is typical of that experienced in the current revival.  She said 'Soon God stopped showing me what he had wanted to do in the past and began to show me what he was going to do in the future.   I had a strong sense of God's desire for his bride, for the whole Church - Protestant, Catholic, Orthodox.' In the article "Worship: Intimacy With God the philosophy behind the 'praise and worship' found in the Vineyard churches it is explained that there is a 'well-thought out philosophy' guiding how God is worshipped through music and movement in order to achieve the goal through "Worship: Intimacy With God" .

"To understand how we worship God, it is helpful to learn about our fellowship's history, which goes back to 1977. At that time my wife, Carol, was leading a small group of people in a home meeting that evolved into the Anaheim Vineyard. I'll let her describe what happened during that time.

"About that time we realised our worship blessed God, that it was for God alone and not just a vehicle of preparation for the pastor's sermon. This was an exciting revelation. After learning about the central place of worship in our meetings, there were many instances in which all we did was worship God for an hour or two.

"At this time we also discovered that singing was not the only way to worship God. Because the word worship means literally to bow down, it is important that our bodies are involved in what our spirits are saying. In scripture this is accomplished through bowing heads, lifting hands, kneeling, and even lying prostrate before God. ... we are blessed as we worship him.

He visits his people with manifestations of the Holy Spirit. "Thus worship has a two-fold aspect: communication with God through the basic means of singing and praying, and communication from God though teaching and preaching the word, prophecy, exhortation, etc. We lift him up and exalt him, and as a result are drawn into his presence where he speaks to us."

"In the Vineyard we see five basic phases of worship, phases through which leaders attempt to lead the congregation.... as we pass through these phases we are headed toward one goal:

intimacy with God.".... The fourth phase is described as "God Visits His People when "Expression then moves to a zenith, a climactic point, not unlike physical lovemaking... We have expressed what is in our hearts and minds and bodies, and now it is time to wait for God to respond.

Stop talking and wait for Him to speak, to move. I call this, the fourth phase, visitation:"

The fifth phase is called "Generosity "The fifth phase of worship is the giving of substance. The church knows so little about giving, yet the Bible exhorts us to give to God. it is pathetic to see people preparing for ministry who don't know how to give. That is like an athlete entering a race, yet he doesn't know how to run. If we haven't learned to give money, we haven't learned anything... " From Source

We noted above that:

"Women and girls from the different ranks of society were proud to enter the service of the gods as singers and musicians. The understanding of this service was universal: these singers constituted the 'harem of the gods'." (End of Quasten)

And again, the "authority" Paul outlawed was to become vocal and non-sedentary. Authority is authentia which is both erotic and murderous. You cannot have preside over women without exercising sexual authority.

If you replace congregational singing with "musical worship teams" or instruments you deliberately and with a high hand say:

you are not going to get into YOUR spirit or heart as long as I have breath to shout "sermonizing" the Word or "versifying" my words so that I perform, you admire!

Instruments in the Old Testament and with the "piping" Jews was shouting for the world to hear: "We will not hear any more from God." This happened at Mount Sinai, God took away the covenant, gave them a law for regulating the body and "turned them over to worship the starry host which was always musical idolatry.

We have been blessed by God to live in a time of reformation, a time of responsible spiritual liberty, a time of limitless possibility in which we can express, in spirit and truth, the deepest devotion of our hearts in worshipful praise and service to our God.
Christ ordained the Qahal, synagogue or Church of Christ in the wilderness. This quarantined the godly people from the curse of the sacrificial FROM WHICH people steal the "music" concept which God called noise.  The synagogu or church of Christ was:

Inclusive of rest (from the clergy), reading and rehearsing the Word of God in the minds of godly elders.
Exclusive of vocal or instrumental rejoicing.  The simpliest mind understands that you don't make noise when God in Christ comes to be our only Teacher and only then when the elders teach that which has been taught.

The Gentiles of the first century favored the synagogue over the pagan, musical rituals. That is why they had been prepared for Christ's first advent.  This synagogue was consisted of;
Acts 15:21 For Moses of old time hath
        in every city
        them that preach him,
        being read in the syn
        every sabbath day.
Jesus died to give us "another day" of Rest.  Rest is the Greek Pauo and as making musical noises in the synagogue on the seventh day was outlawed, the Greek rest means STOP the speaking, singing and playing instruments.  The imposed laded burden were the SONGS used to LEAD AWAY people from the Word as it has been written: that is the only meaning of a heretic or sectarian.
The Levitical Warrior musicians were according to a secular ordinance IMPOSED on the Jews whom the kings were leading into captivity and death. Their work or hard bondage is never defined as worship.

he Levitical sounders made a loud crashing sound while sacrificing animals which were the CARNAL TYPE of the MUSICAL MOCKING of Lord Jesus Christ prophesied in Psalm 41 and fulfilled.

The Levitical sounders were OUTSIDE of the Holy Place as a carnal type of the church of Christ.

Neither SINGERS nor MUSICIANS could enter into the Holy Place (church) even to clean out garbage.

Restoring MUSICIANS totally REPUDIATES the death of Lord Jesus Christ. The loud noise was to serve the priests involved totally with dead animals.

"Musical" worship derives solely from total ignorance of the Old Testament. The only falsely-perceived notion of "music" as worship derives from the Old Testament Monarchy period. This developed when the elders Fired God and demanded a king like the nations so that they could worship like the nations.

However, they did not "play" music but made a great noise.

Jesus defined worship in the new PLACE as in the spirit or mind. Paul agreed and all worship is "in the spirit" and "giving heed to the Word of God."

Al confuses "enthusiastic" with "in spirit."

The "worship" defined by Paul to the Hebrews was the national or "like the nation's worship" Israel got when they fired God and said "set a king over us." God gave Israel kings to destroy them and musicians to beat them and the nations into defeat.

However, individuals always worshiped God by seeking Him in he word, living right and practicing social justice. No ritual can be worship in truth. Any body ritual is a legalistic, outlawed ritual.

The "praise leader" is one of the oldest professionals. By convincing you to sing praise songs such as "Lord, Lord, Lord, Lord" for five stanzas you SUPPLY POWER to the god or usually goddess so he or she will be able to keep on giving you blessings. How do I know that the Babylonian Encomiast is actually "jacking me into the presence of the gods?" Why, don't you feel dizzy from spinning around, dizzy from drinking wine or smelling poppy seed incense, or enraptured (raped) by the music? Well, yes. Then, speaking for Alexander the Oracle Monger, "you as a fat head and simpleton" have been moved into worship by my flute so put some money in the pot.

But, no "praise rituals" in the New Testament.

You are absolutely at liberty: I set you free. You can, like David, sing, dance until you are dizzy in the spinning dance, play instruments, cast off your clothes, stop and burn animals, be admired by the slave girls and tell your embarrassed wife that "the girls held me in honor and I will be even more vile" (that is praise which is related to the word for LUCIFER).

However, it is not worship. The collective assembly gets only its name from the ekklesia but its function was to "synagogue." The synagogue which Jesus endorsed was not "pagan worship center" but it was school. One went to the synagogue to hear the scholars read the Word and, if required, translate or explain. The clergy prayers were prescribed and were also to teach the people. Throughout the week it was always school.

The ancient superstition rising from the ground as the "praise craze" is both a cause and symptom of an effeminate teaching program where our males have had their Platonic "second incarnation as women."

There are at least 8 Old Testament passages, including Amos 5-6,which show that music is both a cause and symptom of repudiating the teaching of the Word of God "as it has been taught." In all of the passages, the people were beyond redemption.

As the Jewish "people's congregation" never worshiped with music but "synagogued" with their own priests and Levites to read the Word, the synagogue in the Inter Testament period and at the time of Christ "had no praise service." You don't do "praise rituals" in the teachers math class but you do praise rituals in Christ's Bible class!

Doing "music" to facilitate worship is rank legalism: empowering God.

Again, it would have been like mixing turnip greens with your ice cream. If it is so vital now why wasn't it important when the gospel went into all the world before the preachers became "located evangelists" as in "located travelling salesman." And, if this is the sign of REFORMATION why is that the literature including the book of Revelation predict that musical worship is a MARK or sign of the end-time harlot religion?

Therefore, since there was no "imprint" of music connected with worship except in the pagan temples, if Christ had needed instruments to entertain Him He might have gone easier on the pipers and womens mourning team and prescribed music. He repudiated them both and refused to go up to the musical first day of the Feast of Tabernacles.

Al Maxey: Change has come! It is time for the people of God to perceive that fact and to step into the era of the new covenant!!
This new change had its beginning in the garden of Eden (too deep for most) and certainly was the cause of the Cainites making the world so evil that God destroyed the civilization. Jubal, Jabal, Tubal-Cain and Naamah continued the Satanic "culture" of using human arts to cheat the "fatheads and simpletons" by playing the flute or giving an "instrumental reading" getting the gods to spek from the harp. If that didn't work, you could intimidate with the sword.

The change had its revival right off the Ark when in time Nimrod had his camp- following "musical worship team" which was used to control the temple slaves at the Towers of Babylon.

God created the Abrahamic Sect. God removed Abraham and his family from under the shadow of the Tower of Babel at Ur. The Babylon king who would "go into sheol" with his musicians and harps has been resurrected: sure enough, remnants of his harps have been found. They had a bull head because all pagans believed that the sound made by pipe or string or by striking meant that "the god lived within and spoke" much like the familiar spirit of the Witch of Endor.

Music was never used among the Patriarchs except by Laban who illustrates that wine and harp-playing can blind you to the truth and attempt to "take away your inheritence" inherent in the Hebrew word for flute, pollute or prostitute.

You might not believe this but a modern, liberal scholar says "there is no other tradition" but that the demons or Satan introduced musical instruments. And that tradition defended by the Bible is that it was a "worship" to subvert people away from the Word. The word "handle" used of Jubal means "without authority."

So, don't be totally destroyed if most non-musical churches do not fall into the oldest Satanic trap known in ancient literature.

And, don't be too downcast if your children and grandchildren rise up and call you cursed as they, like the present baby boomers (infantile drummers) swing back to being students of the Word. They will utterly detest you for making their "worship" just like the secular world or, as in Dr. Rubel Shelly's words, become as much like the world as possible to attract the world. But the WORLD isn't interested and if your "bait" is music you will catch the wrong fish.

But, on the other hand, I tell the gloaters that I will not be surprised if the overwhelming majority of all "religious" people are engaged in the charismatic practice of singing erotic "praise songs" and worshiping the Sister Singers or even beating on their cymbals and tooting flutes (meaning in Hebrew to pollute or prostitute) or blowing trumpets when Jesus sounds his TRUMPE- like voice which will only be heard by a tiny remnant "outside the camp" while the instruments will still be "inside the camp."

There are lots of ways to identify legalists or Pharisees or sectarians but picking on the instrumental music issue has 100% of the ancient Babylonian documents and all pagan religions for its aid and comfort.

It has 0% of the Bible, church history and denominational founders on its side.

It has 100% of church history to show that adding instruments has never been based on the Bible but on economics: the ancient and end-time Babylon model of temple and staff.

It has 100% of church history to show that in churches and synagogues the sectarians knew beforehand but proceeded with a high hand to "sow discord among brethren" and "offend many of these little ones." Just recently an instrumental mole dividing Madison Church of Christ confessed that "we are having to wait on the old folks to die." And another "musical minister" said: "We are prepared to lose up to 1/3 of the congregation." The Willow Creek "patternism" declares that "reformation comes at the expense of lots of strife with the church insiders." They know it, they confess it, they do it and they brag about it.

The non-instrumental group has not added anything to its view of music nor has it subtracted anything from a 2000 year view consistent with a literate reading of the Bible and its history.

It sees no need to be ecumenical with those who made the musical sect and in so doing did, and do as we speak, steal their property and force them out into the cold. It sees not need to worship in a way which violates its informed conscience. And no instrumentalists will "fellowship" a non-instrumentalists by allowing them to come in, toss out the band and confiscate the property: "the houses of widows."

Consistent with all of the instances of "instrumental music" in the Old Testament and secular history, instruments are both a cause and a symptom of people saying: "We will not listen to your word." Therefore, when instrumentalists attempt to defend instruments by harsh judgmentalism it is because the love for the truth has sent a strong delusion so that one uses the 0% of the evidence in defense of trying to worship a Spirit God "with the works of human hands" and even denies and utterly repudiates the 100% of the evidence implicating "music" with telling God to "get lost."
